Position Summary: The Peer Support Specialist – BH will use their personal growth experience to carry the message of hope
and recovery to individuals that are being serviced throughout our Behavioral Health continuum of care. This position will also provide consumer support services to their families in order to assist in the process of patients maintaining their personal recovery and wellness.

Position Summary: Hand to Hold® is seeking a person with an empathetic personality combined with a dynamic professional attitude to convey Hand to Hold’s mission and values on behalf of the entire organization. The Family Support Specialist will help Hand to Hold® fulfill our contractual agreement with local area hospitals to provide peer psycho-social support and education for NICU families, in partnership with hospital staff as appropriate.

The role requires leaning on one’s own personal lived experience and specific peer support training. Training to become a certified Mental Health Peer Specialist and with others on the Hand to Hold programs team will be offered to prepare for this peer support role. Additionally, the Family Support Specialist will complete hospital credentialing processes which require proof of some vaccinations, before orientation and training commence in a hospital setting.

The Family Support Specialist’s primary responsibilities include visiting families at the bedside one-on-one, facilitating weekly support groups, distributing resources, and hosting events. There are also essential data entry and reporting requirements to supervisors and hospital staff about the interactions with families. Family Support Specialists report to the Hospital Partner Program Manager, under the general direction of the Program Director.

Position Summary: LifeWorks of Austin, TX is looking for Certified Family Partners to join our Community Based Peer Support team! A Certified Family Partner (CFP) provides family partner services and education to parents/caregivers/legal authorized representatives (LARs) of youth via group facilitation, individual mentorship, community collaboration, and the provision of alternative activities. The Certified Family Partner utilizes a trauma-informed, strengths-based model of support to help caregivers achieve the family’s needs, wants, and goals. This is a non-exemptpart-time position which will average 16 hours per week. Expanding into a full-time position could be negotiable depending upon experience and program needs. The rate of pay for this position will be $22/hr.

A Peer Support Specialist provides support services and education to individuals via group facilitation, individual mentorship, community collaboration, and the provision of alternative activities. The Peer Support Specialist utilizes a trauma-informed, strengths-based model of support to foster and promote recovery and wellness with each client served. This is a non-exemptpart-time position. The schedule will have varying 4-hour shifts between the hours of 12pm-7pm Monday-Thursday, and 1pm-5pm on Fridays. The pay for this position will be $22.00/hr, paid bi-weekly.

Position Summary: LifeWorks of Austin, TX is looking for a Peer Support Specialist to join our Community Based Peer Support team! A Peer Support Specialist provides support services and education to individuals via group facilitation, individual mentorship, community collaboration, and the provision of alternative activities. The Peer Support Specialist utilizes a trauma-informed, strengths-based model of support to foster and promote recovery and wellness with each client served. This full time, non-exempt position earns a base rate of $22.00/hr. The hours for this position are Monday – Thursday 11:30am – 8:00pm, Friday 11:30am – 5:30pm. We will be seeking individuals that are open to potentially working two Saturdays a month, once the Peer-Led Youth Drop In is well established. Benefits are also included, which consist of 24 PTO days per year (accrued); 11 paid holidays per year; a premium-free employee medical plan with $100 per month HSA contribution (plus other affordable employee or family medical, dental, and vision options!); a retirement savings plan with 50% match on the first 6% of contributions, and much more!
